Time Trial Qualification regulations

The timed section for the time trial that will determine the starting order for Off-Road Day 1 begins at this location, according to each rider's specific start time. You can access the location link here.

What does the ‘Time trial’ racetrack look like?
- Each competitor starts the TTQ  in allocated competitor race number order.
- It will be between 10 minutes and 30 minutes depending on the competitor race class and the competitors speed and ability.
- Competitors will follow banners and track intersection markers.  
- No GPS navigation device or GPS track are used
- Competitors will follow race banners, arrows and intersection markers.
- The tracks will have a ‘difficulty level’ suitable for the race class they are competing in. 

The Time Trial is by race class then by allocated Competitor race start number.
Motorcycles Line-up at 13:15
Motorcycles and competitors control checks will be made at the TTQ line up:-
- Have Competitors ‘given racing numbers’ have been fitted above the headlamp & and on rear side panels?
- Competitors must wear the provided ‘Competitor name and race number’ Canvas Bib on the rear of race shirt or rucksack.
- Competitors must carry the required rescue equipment, Minas Riders Event Regulations section 5.0

Evaluation
- The total riding time of a competitor is calculated by adding the actual riding time on the track plus any given time penalties.
- A competitors Time Trial Qualification-(TTQ) results ranking determines their starting order for the 'Off road day 1' race.
- The total TTQ riding time is added to the event off road race time.
- If a competitor does not start(DNS) the TTQ they receive - (The slowest time of the class +10 minute time penalty).
- If a competitor starts but does not finish(DNF) the TTQ they receive - (The slowest time of the class +5 minute time penalty).
- All Minas Riders event regulations for Offroad days are applied
